Back9 Creative Studio was approached by a current client who was wishing to expand into a Bagel & Coffee shop called Toasted. Our job was to create a brand identity and develop a social presence and following while the café was being renovated.
I was tasked with developing the branding and meeting with the client to discuss their direction for their café. This was assisted by the design manager.
The logo above was approved by the client, as they believed it portrayed the vision of the business - industrial and no-nonsense bagels and coffee. This also matched the aesthetic of the location they were inhabiting which was a new build with exposed concrete and interior.
The client's current restaurant was a popular destination in Invercargill, so we knew we had that social following to harness for their Toasted expansion. The following posts and Instagram grim was drafted and approved by the client, and was used for the three months leading up to the opening of the café.
Once the café was opened, their internal staff took over the social media channels that we had developed.
