The H&J Smith Department Store Account Statement Insert is a monthly publication that gets released digitally at the beginning of each month with customers' card statements. The purpose of the publication is to advertise new product arrivals, as well as Cardholder exclusive offers to retain and build loyalty and return custom.
Working a month in advance, communication between Buyers and Suppliers is managed in order to advertise new arrivals, specials, and sales in a timely fashion, and in a way that would interest the loyal Cardholder customers. This communication was facilitated through shared documents, and feedback/proofing was received from the wider Group Office and management.
An example of the bi-annual Common Idol Footwear voucher in the publication, and a spotlight on the Ecoya brand as advised by our Cosmetics Buyer.
As part of the Account Statement Publication, the following collateral is created alongside it:
• In store Point of Sale  advertising
• An email statement template to be sent to approximately 12,000 customers with the publication digitally linked
• Social Media content bookings for the following month to advertise the offers to our wider online audience
• Website homepage banners for major offers available online
